Here comes the new offering from Cincinnati's heaviest duo, Croatan. If I hadn't seen godheadsilo a million times, I might find it hard to believe two people could make this much noise. Mark, the drummer, is absolutely insane. There is an original style to his frenetic playing that I've never seen the likes of before. The guitar and vocals all come from the hands and mind of Jenny, who manages to be just as heavy as the Melvins but less metal. In fact, it's nice to hear a band this hard without even a tinge of metal in the music. Jenny fills her tough melodies with sneers and screams so that you never quite know what she's gonna do next. I fucking love these guys and I recommend this single and their previous Man's Ruin full length to anyone that likes their music raw, rough, and, oh yes, feminine.
